Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long have you build websites
We have built websites for about ten years. You will learn more on our About Page.
2. How does the website work?
All websites are written in a language called HTML, or Hypertext Markup Language. Websites and their associated HTML documents and files are stored on computers called web servers. When you type a domain name into your web browser, your browser sends a request to a web server where the website’s files are located. Your browser downloads these files, usually HTML documents and accompanying images or videos, and renders them on your screen.
3. Why is the name important?
Every web site must have a domain name. A domain name is your websites unique address on the internet. Your name is your identity and direction to finding your site.
4. Can you help me write content for my website?
Yes, we can! We work with talented and experienced copywriters to help you craft your desired content. Our copywriters can write content that will help your site be easily found via search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
5. How long does it take?
Our standard websites take four to six weeks to complete. Some more customised and compound projects may take longer.
6. Can you help me source photos for my web?
Yes. We will help you source stock photos from relevant sites. We also have photographers and videographers available to produce custom photography and videos for your website.
7. Do I own the website?
Everything that we build is 100% owned by you. Most of our clients stay with us for the life of the website. But if for any reason you decide you want to get another company to service the site, we will facilitate in making the transition as efficiently as possible. The website is yours, and we want you to own it.
8. Where is my website hosted?
All websites that Binary Website Designs creates are in our servers. However, if at any time you wish to move to a new web firm + web host, without objection, we will package your website and transfer to the firm of your choice without an extra cost. But from that moment we will be under no obligation to service your website.
9. What kind of business can I do with the web?
There are a number of Business ideas you could start on the web. You could learn a few more or join with friends to create a hub. Buying and selling, Teaching and learning. You could start a blog to share interests with likeminded people. You are free to invent something new and much more.
10. Can you help me update my web which was built by another web design firm?
Yes we can. We will look at your website and give you a quote determined by how much work we need to do.
11. How much does it cost?
Each project is unique and is different for each client. Your needs and goals will determine the cost and complexity of a project. Larger and complex sites obviously will cost more than a simple and small “brochure” site. For all but the most complex projects we will provide a free estimate that will outline the work to be performed and the number of hours we anticipate it taking to complete.
